Multiple sclerosis is an incurable and unpredictable disease of the central nervous system. It can strike anybody, at any time and its cause is still unknown. As with all chronic illnesses, the problems are both physical and emotional and the severity of the symptoms varies.

The unpredictability of the illness means that no-one knows how or when it will strike or how long the symptoms will last. As a result, financial and social difficulties may arise and great stress may be experienced by both the MS patient and their families. It can be difficult to know where to turn for help, there are things that can be done and the Huntingdon, Peterborough & Cambridge MS therapy Centre can help.
